This is a relief effort of Mt Zion Baptist Church in partnership with South Fork Baptist Association and NC Baptist on Mission to ensure that each generator purchased meets a real and long-term need. Although many residents in WNC already have power or will have power shortly, with the assistance of mobile substations, others in more remote areas where the power grid is entirely down may not have power until the early part of next year.
Sadly, we live in a time when ownership and property are not respected. For this reason many residents prefer to stay with their damaged homes throughout the entire rebuild process. They just can’t endure any more loss. This is going to make the colder months and upcoming holidays even more discouraging for those who have already suffered loss.
Our burden is to encourage these wonderful people and make their holidays a little bit brighter by providing a power source to power their water pumps, refrigerators, washing machines, lights, and few other items. Our goal is a minimum of 100 generators. If you feel led to help be assured that with the assistance of our partnerships every gift will be stewarded for the glory of God and the good of His people.
